CEDIA Announces Sellout for Electronic Systems Technician Boot Camp at EXPO 2005
Registration swells from 2004; association finalizing overflow
accommodations
Indianapolis, Ind. –The Custom Electronic
Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) has announced that compared
with the same time last year, Installer Level I Exam registration has
increased 251 percent and Designer Exam registration has grown by 203
percent. In addition, total registration jumped an average of 192 percent
over July 2004.
This year’s Electronic Systems Technician (EST)
Boot Camp, Installer Level II Certification Review and the Designer
Certification Review
have sold out for EXPO 2005, scheduled for Sept. 6-11. The Electronic
Systems Project Management (ESPM) classes are also filling up fast
with some classes already sold out. According to Margaret Sheehan,
Senior Director of Professional Development, there are many valuable
CEDIA classes and full-day workshops available throughout the EXPO
class schedule to fulfill education requirements and aspirations.
Additional
2005 dates for the EST Boot Camp include Oct. 5-7, Nov. 16-18 and
Dec. 7-9 at CEDIA headquarters in Indianapolis. In 2006,
more than 50 of the educational offerings will be conveniently available
across the US.
“This level of overflow is an indication of the strong demand
for CEDIA certification by our members,” said CEDIA Executive
Director Billilynne Keller. “CEDIA University continues to grow
vigorously, and we’re pleased to have this kind of challenge
ahead of us.” CEDIA
University is making it more convenient to achieve certification by
delivering the Installer Level I and Installer Level II Review classes
and Certification exams online. This service will become available
in August 2005, through CEDIA University at www.cedia.org/cediau. CEDIA
is working with the Berlitz Language and Learning Centers across the
United States in nearly every major city to offer the exams in a secure
proctored environment. For more information about CEDIA Certification
