Ihiji Invision, originally designed as a remote monitoring tool for connected devices in the home, is a powerful Remote Systems Management platform for CEDIA home technology professionals (HTP). Using Ihiji Invision, an HTP can remotely detect, diagnose & resolve problems with a client’s home network, entertainment or automation systems. Remote service & support through Invision allows for more efficient troubleshooting & resolution, improving system uptime, saving truck rolls & ultimately delivering higher customer satisfaction.
Ihiji Invision is a cloud-based solution with a small hardware appliance, Ihiji APP-750, that resides on a client’s network. Once the APP-750 appliance is installed, an HTP can use the secure Ihiji Invision portal to remotely monitor & manage client systems - including all IP-based entertainment devices, power units & control systems. Ihiji Invision was the first remote solution to allow for secure distributed remote monitoring utilizing a combination of on-site appliances & a secure cloud portal (Invision) for access & configuration. This architecture allows remote monitoring & management without the need for insecure port forwards, expensive on-site servers or complex VPN configurations. Through the rich web application of Invision, an HTP can get deep visibility into the performance of the LAN, WAN, device health & rich details of device performance. The network performance monitoring & metrics have also been a driver for the industry to recognize the benefits of professional-grade networks & networking equipment to meet growing traffic demands & needs for reliability. Ihiji Invision also features a native mobile app for Android & iOS devices which allows field technicians to easily access system status & reboot problematic devices remotely.
Ihiji Invision is one of the only RSM solutions that integrates with hundreds of manufacturers in the CEDIA space, giving HTPs the freedom to specify best-in-class equipment to create their custom electronic systems, while providing the flexibility to manage all of that equipment from a single pane of glass within Ihiji Invision. In 2016 Ihiji launched a Device Visibility Protocol (DVP), which is provided to manufacturers to allow deeper insights in into the health & status of devices, such as temperature, firmware, input status, HDMI status or power status.
