Servicing the Vancouver and British Columbia residential and commercial systems integration markets for nearly 60 years, we are seeking a top notch and experienced lead low-voltage technologist for integration and installation of high-end, designed and engineered systems.
This includes all controlled systems, such as motorized shades, lighting, HVAC control, distributed audio and video, dedicated residential private cinema systems, customized user interfaces and enterprise quality network installations.
You will have an education in low-voltage systems, including knowledge of construction code requirements for wiring technologies, CEDIA and/or NSCA courses, I.T. knowledge of setting up basic networks, IP addresses with enterprise hardware, video projector set-up and calibration knowledge, HDBase-T signal distribution familiarity, and equipment mounting best practices.
Additionally, you shall be familiar with lighting control systems configuration for both centralized panels and de-centralized systems such as Vantage, Crestron and Lutron, including motorized window treatments installation. You shall have good general wiring and termination skills and be able to follow drafted layout schematics for configuring control systems.
Your troubleshooting service skills shall include the ability to use diagnostic tools and to think outside of the box, yet follow CEDIA best practices and be well-prepared before launching into a project. Your skill level will need to be frequently refreshed by your self-motivation.
