Audio/Video & Security Technician

Job Description:
Full Time - 
Installation of all aspects of structured wiring, audio-video and security systems.
Minimum Job Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; must be comfortable in customer facing situations.
• Self-motivated, attention to detail, well organized, able to follow and help improve processes
• Clean driving record & background check
• Ability to use hand & power tools
• Be able to handle heights (up to 3 stories)
• Must have basic AV installation skills (flat panel installation, surround sound receiver setup & calibration, in-ceiling speaker installation)
• Must have basic Security installation skills
• Basic networking knowledge and computer skills a plus
• Ability to travel for work when needed
• Complete one-room audio/video installs and setup independently
• Security camera and NVR installation and configuration
• Honeywell security alarm equipment installation
• Ability to follow construction plans and run a pre-wire with little supervision
• Wired and wireless networking system design, install and setup
• Advanced troubleshooting ability
• New Construction/Retrofit: Pre-Wire & Installation: Low Voltage Cabling (Cat5/Cat6/RG6/RG59/16- 2 Speaker/Camera Wire/Automation Wire (Residential/Commercial)
Termination of Cat5/Cat6/RG6 Structured Wiring 
• Mount & Hang TV's: All Styles Wall Brackets
Work Schedule: 
• 40+  hour workweek; business hours are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to ? (depends on when you finish the jobs for the day) Must be willing to work occasional evenings, weekends. 
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
• You typically work in residential settings indoors and out in varied weather conditions.  Physical activities include stooping, bending, stretching, crawling, and lifting.  Weights up to 75 lbs may be encountered, requiring proper lifting techniques.   The knowledge and use of extension ladders and the ability to work at heights of up to 28 feet.  Adverse conditions include frequent noise and occasional exposure to temperature extremes, and various types of power equipment.
