CEDIA is working to create meaningful workforce development by supporting volunteers willing to serve as ambassadors in their local communities. These volunteers will create relationships between industry employers and talent providers, such as, educational institutions, workforce development agencies, and community organizations. 

How you can help uncover the Next Generation 

 


Present the NextGen Toolkit presentation in a local school or college.

Connect and network with local skilled trades pipelines.

Communicate the size, scope, and talent needs of the local industry.

Validate CEDIA’s role as the global membership association that serves the smart home technology industry.

Advocate for CEDIA’s curriculum and certification’s to be included in local education programs.

Serve as a guest speaker or exhibitor at local career fairs.

Share successes and challenges with CEDIA and volunteers in other communities.

Workforce Development Working Group (WDWG)


Chartered in 2018, CEDIA’s Workforce Development Working Group (WDWG) serves as a rallying point for local volunteers. The group includes business owners, HR staff, tech school instructors, marketing specialists, and other industry thought leaders.
