Education Partners

CEDIA is continuing to expand its global reach by developing education partnerships that:

  • Offer hands-on education programs in local communities
  • Lead to industry-recognized credential attainment
  • Create opportunities for employment and career advancement
Ideal partners include technical colleges, trade schools, community colleges, CTE centers, and other organizations with resources and capacity to deliver hands-on, vocational training.

CEDIA Education Partners are authorized to use CEDIA’s proprietary curriculum, materials, and resources through a licensing agreement.
CEDIA Education Partner Requirements

Education Partners Commitments:

 

Ensuring that their organization is a CEDIA member in good standing.

Ensuring that all primary instructors hold the appropriate CEDIA credentials.

Providing CEDIA with timely updates on trainee progress.

Creating a hands-on training environment that aggressively encourages trainees to learn and apply what they have learned.

Partnering with CEDIA to form and actively engage with an Employer Advisory Committee made-up of local systems integration employers that can assist with the following activities:

  • Program creation, implementation, updates, sponsorship opportunities.
  • CEDIA certified instructor identification and assistance.
  • Guest speaking and career fair opportunities.
  • Job shadow, work experience, and employment opportunities

Developing relationships with locally/regionally to generate subsidized paid work experience opportunities for students.

Acknowledging CEDIA in all collateral related to the marketing and promotion of programs that include CEDIA proprietary curriculum, materials, and resources.

Agreeing to purchase an annual license and student program materials from CEDIA.

CEDIA Commitments to Education Partners:

 

Providing purchased educational materials in a timely manner.

Providing technical assistance required to ensure that instructors are CEDIA certified and training facility is set-up appropriately.

Leveraging appropriate local member and partner contacts to ensure program success.

Supporting local program recruitment and fundraising efforts.

Monitoring program performance.

Providing boilerplate marketing language and logo materials for CEDIA and its products to be used by Education Partner.
