David Meyer

Melbourne-based David Meyer is CEDIA's Director of Technical Curriculum. David
is a 23-year veteran of the industry, having started out in
photographics and imaging, moving into home cinema retail and custom installation, then
product design, manufacturing, and distribution as founder of the Kordz Group. He served
as a CEDIA volunteer for over ten years, including as a Subject Matter
Expert in connectivity (namely HDMI) and video, and has authored and presented numerous
courses over his tenure.

David is based in Melbourne, Australia. He is founder of
Kordz, a digital connectivity specialist brand, HDMI 2.0 and HDBaseT Adopter,
THX partner and CEDIA Supplier member. David personally heads product
development for Kordz, and also actively contributes to industry standards and
compliance. He is a member of CEDIA’s Technical Working Group, as HDMI & UHD
Subject Matter Expert (SME) where work includes credited contribution to CEDIA’s
HDMI Best Practices white paper series, co-author of CEDIA’s Ultra-HD/4K white
paper initiative of 2013, and author and presenter of multiple HDMI focused
courses, both as a CEDIA Certified Instructor and also independently. He is a
member of the CEA’s Ultra-HD Working Group, has written numerous HDMI related
articles for trade and consumer magazines, as well as several white papers on
HDMI and associated technologies.
