Wednesday 13th April 2022, 10am - 2pm EST. This is a online course.

The CEDIA Outreach Instructor (COI) course prepares you to present continuing education courses to designers, builders, and architects in your local area. This is only available to CEDIA members who hold a company membership.

This program creates new business opportunities, allowing you to deliver technology education with the ability to provide CEU/CPD credits for several national and international design and build industry associations.

Course content includes an introduction to the program, a review of the available courseware, and a discussion of the rules and requirements for presenting under CEDIA’s education provider umbrella. Additionally, participants will learn proper presentation techniques, best practices for class preparation, and useful communication and questioning techniques. Other topics discussed will include an examination of learning styles, proper inclusion of teaching aids, and how to best implement this program into your company’s strategic plan.

Participants are expected to discuss their pitch during class as part of a peer evaluation. This four-hour course is offered pass/fail.

This training requires completion of the pre-requisite coursework before attending the virtual training on April 13th. 

Due to the region-specific course information, this COI course is limited to US/Canada CEDIA members only.    

Meet the Instructor


Jason Sayen


Jason is an industry leader with over 23 years of experience in the Consumer Electronics Industry. He has spent the majority of his career working directly for manufacturers of high-end residential products. Currently, he is Director of Sales and Business Development for LK & Associates which is a rep firm in the state of Florida representing over 20 of the top brands of residential consumer electronics ranging in categories of automation, motorization, energy management, shading and lighting control.
