Module 2 Overview
Module 2 of the CEDIA Cabling & Infrastructure Technician School is designed to cover a comprehensive scope of the requisite knowledge expected of technicians when working in various types of structural environments as well as an overview of the common electronic equipment included in integration projects. Learners will explore the key aspects of both masonry and wood frame construction while discussing the critical points of the international building code which must be followed to ensure cabling installation meets the necessary requirements for quality and safety.
Additionally, this module of the program will cover the foundational principles involved with math and electricity including review of basic algebraic and geometric concepts as well as Ohm’s law and the Power formula. Lastly, learners will discuss the equipment and components commonly installed and configured when working with integrated systems such as audiovisual components, rack systems, security systems, control systems, and more.
