ECS Related Discipline Site Card

The Home Technology Integrator ECS card allows custom installers of home technology, such as whole house AV systems, to access construction sites where a CSCS card is normally required.

The card recognises the specific training and certifications that Home Technology Integrators have taken with CEDIA.

CEDIA members have their membership recognised on the front of the card , and any CEDIA certifications that the individual holds will be detailed on the back (CIT, IST, ESC-N, and ESC-D).

Delegates for the ECS Electrical Safety Unit assessment are assumed to have a level of knowledge and competency in basic electrical theory and principles. It is strongly advised that all delegates undertake suitable training, such as the Basic Electrical Safety course on CEDIA Academy, prior to undertaking the ECS Electrical Safety Unit assessment.

For general guidance on the assessment download the ECS Electrical Safety Unit assessment guide here.

Both ECS Assessments can be conducted at CEDIA’s training facility in St Neots, UK – please enquire for our availability and pricing.

There is also a new Remote Invigilation assessment service available to companies that have an ECS Employer Portal account. This will allow an ECS assessment to be taken with an employer and save time traveling to a central assessment venue. Information about this service is available at www.ecscard.org.uk/ris

An Online Assessment using the remote invigilation service is also available through your MyECS account on request. Please call the JIB on 01322 661 633 for more information.
