This home site was discovered by a couple who lived nearby -- they'd noticed the property from their pontoon boat and remarked that the view from that home must be tremendous. Shortly thereafter, the couple bought the parcel, knocked down the existing home, and then went "all-in" with their new home.
That approach meant that everything in their next residence would be brand new, and the tech they wanted had to blend perfectly into the couple's artful vision.
The home boasts "a 10-zone/10-source Control4 4K Video Matrix that provides a stereo downmix of all sources to a 16x16 Audio Matrix," says The Premier Group. "Video sources include three Tivo Bolts, Sony Bluray, Apple TV, and Roku. Audio sources native to the Control4 system are Tune-In Radio, Pandora, and Napster. The audio matrix is time delayed to accurately sync each stereo zone with the three surround systems."
A Pakedge network is the backbone of the home's systems, which also include security, lighting, shades, HVAC, and pool control. The scenes programmed into the homes' systems are both event based ("Entertain," "Dining," "Movie") and chronological (with scenes running from "Morning" to "Goodnight"). The complexity wasn't lost on CEDIA's judges: "A lot going on -- there are a tremendous amount of systems integrated into this home," says our panel.
