Control4 Sponsors CEDIA Design and Build Conference at ISE 2020

Feb 12, 2020

12 February 2020

New for Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2020, the CEDIA® Design and Build Conference will be sponsored by Control4, the premier professionally installed platform for the smart home. This exclusive one-day event will take place at the luxurious Hotel Okura in Amsterdam on Thursday 13th February 2020, and targets architects, interior designers, and other design and build professionals within the residential space.

The award-winning Control4 Smart Home OS is a robust and reliable smart home operating system that interoperates with a broad and deep ecosystem of nearly 14,000 connected devices, controls them all from a single platform, and provides homeowners the personalisation they want with the professional support they need. Through a beautiful, easy-to-use interface, homeowners can personalise and control their lighting, comfort, entertainment, security, surveillance, communications, and so much more using voice, mobile, touchscreen, keypad or remote-control devices.

“We are delighted to sponsor the Design and Build Conference at ISE this year,” said Brad Hintze, senior director of marketing, Control4. “As clients begin their smart home journey, designers must educate themselves on home technology and begin incorporating it into their designs. Rather than being an afterthought, innovation is pushing smart home adoption forward and clients want to incorporate new technology into their homes. In order to be a successful designer in today’s market, it is important to fully understand the entire smart home landscape, from the starting points of DIY to a fully integrated whole-home system.”

“We are very excited to have Control4 on board to support us with this new initiative” comments Matt Nimmons, Managing Director of CEDIA EMEA. “With smart technology becoming more conventional in residential properties today, it’s important for design and build professionals to understand how technology can add value to their design schemes, and how to work with home technology integrators on projects and planning decisions. Control4 has a major footprint within the smart home technology and interior design industry — their influence and knowledge will prove invaluable in making this exciting industry event one to remember.”

Following a welcome from Giles Sutton, Senior Vice President of Industry Engagement at CEDIA, the Design and Build Conference will include a RIBA & BIID accredited CPD on Designing The Connected Home, where attendees will learn how technology can be integrated seamlessly into residential designs, how this affects the available space, and what benefits it can bring. This will feature alongside a Control4 Seminar on 5 Levels of a Smart Home, looking at how those levels can provide different support and care for clients in their homes. The conference programme also includes a panel discussion with CEDIA members and interior designers, followed by an in-depth guided tour of the ISE show focussing on relevant areas of the exhibition including audio-visual, lighting and shading, home control, and other automation technologies for the home.

With support from Control4, attendees will gain a rare insight into the home technology industry, and how professional design and installation can work together to create stunning aesthetics and lifestyle improvements. This is the perfect opportunity to find out more about how technology is evolving, how it affects the interior design world, and how it can be used to bring projects to life, without compromising on design.

CEDIA is working with the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) to bring delegates to the event in collaboration with ISE.
