FISHERS, Ind. (MARCH 9, 2020) -- CEDIA has named Paul Skelton regional development independent consultant, Australia and New Zealand. Skelton previously served as editor of multiple home technology integration-focused publications, including Connected magazine and Electrical Connection, as well as discontinued publications Connected Home Middle East and Stunning Smart Homes.

"Paul has spent more than a decade immersed in the Australia and New Zealand home technology integration ecosystem," said CEDIA EMEA Vice President of Global Development Wendy Griffiths. "His stable of contacts and deep connections is broad and extends throughout all corners of the industry, the trade media, and even beyond into complementary sectors like construction, electrical, and data. Paul's high degree of passion for the CEDIA industry is infectious and he's poised to be able to hit the ground running in our key Australia and New Zealand markets."

Skelton's wide-ranging experience includes time as a contractor for businesses in the home automation, electrical, data, residential construction, music, sports, and government sectors. He has also recently worked with companies in the allied health sector on marketing, communications, and website development. Connected magazine's annual award that recognizes the home technology integration industry's most influential contributor is named "The Golden Paul" after Skelton. CEDIA Technical Research Consultant David Meyer was the 2019 recipient of the award.

Skelton's work will help grow and advance CEDIA initiatives and membership in the region. His areas of focus include recruitment and retention, relationship building, and event planning and management assistance. More than 100 CEDIA members call Australia and New Zealand home.

Skelton is slated to start in early April.
